Mark Muir is a career firefighter/EMT with 20 years of service under his belt. Despite being involved in canine disc sports for only six years, Muir has become very accomplished. With border collies Rocket, Irish, Gipper, and Thunder, Muir has won numerous state, regional, national and world championship titles including the 2009 Skyhoundz Open Division World Championship. In 2010, Muir took his first international disc dogging trip, to Italy, with the goal of helping others come to love the sport that has given so much to him. For 2011, Muir expects to continue spreading the gospel of disc dogging with a teaching trip to Spain (along with a side-trip to Tenerife, in the Canary Islands) and visits to other exciting destinations.
