Water, wind and wagging tails

Well, finally we survived our Disc Dog Week. I had fears because of the nice amount of catastophy that happened in previous weeks. Clouds of volcanic ash, rain and storm for two weeks, flood all over the country… I don’t know how is it possible, but everything stopped for a week, and continued as we finished the official program on Sunday. The whole thing was far from perfect, but I think it was the best in these circumstances.

First of all: it was a great pleasure all of us to meet Yukihiro Sekiguchi in Hungary. It was his first trip to Europe, and he was our first disc-dogger visitor from Japan. He was simply amazing: opened to everything new, and never lost his sense of humor and patience. I hope it wasn’t his last visit here, we need a Hiro J

To tell the truth this competition was a real challenge for our poor judges. Just ask Jeff how nice is the airport of Milan or ask Hiro how was the sightseeing early in the morning while he tried to find a TV-studio… ask and run before it’s too late J And it was a challenge for me too , so my decision is that I’m on holiday from now on, no more organizer work for this year – I would to compete and have fun with my friends, and sometimes to help them in some things, but not to do everything by myself. If you see me during the summer with scoresheets and tables, feel free to shoot me.

We’ve had three clinic and a competition during five days, so it’s hard to remember everything (and when I asked for help, Dalma wasn’t the best choice as a chronicler : ‘write that Lily – her dog – was sooo beautiful as she ran through the field’ Thx…). But there were great moments , thank you everybody, it was nice to see you all again!
