Physiotherapy

Sometimes you feel that everything goes wrong, and you have no idea what will happen next. The best thing in this case to do something new and interesting. So did I. I had enough of  pitying myself, so decided to do something useful. I would to paint some rooms of the house where I’m living. I’ve never tried it before, but of course it’s not a reason to give it up.

So there are the main steps of painting your house yourself.

1. Read every forum about renewing a house. They give you self-confidence. You’ll see how many mentally challenged person could  paint a whole house, so be sure that with your skills it would be a piece of cake.
2. Go to a shop and try to find the perfect stuffs for  painting.  Every paint has a name which reminds you a food, so don’t go shopping if you are hungry :) You’ll see that the ‘white wine’ and the ‘honey apricot’ means almost the same yellow.
3. Cover everything with nylon and paper. First time you are sure that you could protect the floor. Next time you ‘ll know that it’s impossible.
4. Don’t forget remove spiders from the corners. It’s very important before you fix them forever with the paint.
5. Also remove the cat from the paint in every five minutes. If you have more cats, it’s a real challenge.
6. Write to your favorite forum what are you doing. Be pride of yourself and  try not to read  annoying questions about “and why didn’t you…” .  Of course you know best.
7.  After the first layer  be sure that the second one will cover all of your  mistakes.  After the second layer be sure that  it should be better after the full drying. After the drying put the furniture to the right spots to cover everything.

Somebody posted this link to our forum. Well, there are differences between wet fields, and this one is the absolute winner I think.

5 minutes

without comments

It has different types. The Hungarian one: ‘I’ll be there in 5 minutes’ means ‘I’m miles away and there is no hope to see you today’ . The Belgian one: ‘The balloons will up in five minutes’ means ‘have a dinner, take a walk and meet some friends before the show’. The American one: ‘we’ll continue in 5 minutes’ means ‘4.59… 4.58…  4.57… ‘

I had a great weekend in Belgium, at Hyperflite Skyhoundz EC. I really needed something that is unusual and totally different from my weekdays.  So I packed all of my dogs and left home about midnight. I had to stop for almost two hours at night because of a heavy storm in Austria.  First example of Hungarian five minutes: I met the Hungarian team about 9 a.m. in Germany – they left Budapest 3 hours before me. Finally they arrived to the camp about 7 p.m., I don’t know how it is possible.

Our campsite was next to the field. I had a tent for four, so It was really comfortable for all of my dogs, and they left a small place for me also.  There was just a small incident at Saturday night when Stefaan found a Border Collie searching for food. I don’t know how he knew immediately that it should be mine, I just  let Moss out of control for 5 minutes…

Some words about  results. I really didn’t know  what I want, I mean  I wasn’t sure that I would to go to the Worlds.  By the results it seems I wouldn’t  :) But the D/A European Champions this year are Jozsef Zsiros and Seesco,  Edina and Zsizsik ended on 2nd place in Microdog, and there are some more Hungarian qualifications. And there were some great routines, as Daniel’s, Tina’s  and the pairs of Juergen and Conny.

On Saturday and Sunday  we could see a balloon show at the evening (5 minutes after dinner), it was amazing to see those huge things flying away.  And they can’t come back, believe me Alenka :)   And time flied also very fast, suddenly I realized that I’m on the road again with the usual travel packs: dogs, chocolate, coffee and classical rock hits. It’s not a big surprise that in Germany  two policemen stopped me and made a drug test . They hardly believed that I passed.

Vuvuzela

without comments

I have three cats, and they have really difficult business and friendship connections with other cats in our street.  Three days ago one of them brought home a beautiful white cat with him. The visitor was really polite, after a few hour went home (OK, he tried to taste the parrots, but that was all). But  yesterday he came back, and stayed for hours. And today also.  I have a strange feeling about this whole thing…

The visitor is a young male with white coat, a yellow and a blue eye and really unbearable voice. I’m not a football-lover, but as the cat tried the first meow (or at least some noise from his throat), I was sure that the name ‘Vuvuzela’ fits perfectly. We will see what he wants: is really friendly and curious, but I couldn’t touch him yet.

Great things at a small competition

without comments

Dunaszentpál is a small village about 130 km’s of Budapest. Judit lives there with her family, and this was the second year that there was the ‘Dunaszentpál Cup’ hosted by them. This year there was only about 30 entries, but it was one of the most successful event in this year, with wonderful results.

There was a round of Hungarian Quadruped Series, and something unbelievable happened there… József Zsíros and Blacky finished at 1st place with 95,85 yards – this is a new World Record in Quadruped!

For me the biggest pleasure was that most of the winners of other cathegories were rescued and shelter dogs. Rita Toth and JarJar (a Malinois-mix), Tamas Hoffmann and Ginger (a rescued German Shepherd), Szilvia Balogh and Argos (a Rottweiler-mix), Dalma Karpati and Lily (a Rough Collie) and my Morgan. They are living proofs of that there are great and talented dogs everywhere at the shelters, on the streets or in somebody’s backyard waiting for a chance for showing their qualities.
